Evil Eye Pictures is looking for an experienced Unreal Lighting Artist. The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years of professional experience in film, television and/or AAA games, with at least 2 years experience working with Unreal. The candidates should thoroughly understand visual effects and/or games pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and design lighting for complex scenes in Unreal Engine, owning both the technical and creative problem spaces
Work closely with directors and supervisors to develop cinematic lighting solutions, which capture the vision laid out by the client
Translate 2D concepts into final lighting solutions and renders
Look development of assets, environments, and FX elements
Identify problematic shots and offer creative or technical solutions
Oversee and help optimize shots for rendering
Communicate with team members in all departments
Requirements:
Experience with Unreal Engine lighting techniques and solutions
Proven track record with photoreal and full CG lighting for film, television and/or games
Knowledge of a variety of lighting techniques and tools in Unreal (Lumen, Raytracing, Megalights, Nanite, Materials)
Detail-oriented both in work processes and ability to QC work
Understanding of optimization and performance profiling
Willingness to take direction and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
Ability to problem solve and propose workarounds for creative and technical challenges
Time management skills; working to production schedules and communicating blockers to department leads and production.
Good to Have:
Experience with Maya, Houdini, Blender, Nuke or equivalent DCC
Knowledge of blueprints and automating workflows in Unreal
Experience in compositing and paint
Knowledge of an asset manager such as Shotgrid

Base Pay Range $75k - $130k

Evil Eye Pictures is looking for an experienced VFX Production Manager. The ideal candidate will have worked in VFX, games or real-time content with at least 5 years of experience in managing creative and technical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for production flow across multiple projects, attending client and internal show meetings, generating schedules and status reports, and reporting to the Senior Producer and Head of Production on show progress
Serve as a front-line representative of the company and interface directly with clients. This direct client interaction requires a highly professional demeanor and diplomacy
Responsible for overseeing project execution across all disciplines, working closely with the Senior Producer to ensure projects are completed within the schedule and budget
Generate and update task schedules, working with coordinators, department leads and clients to milestones and cross-department interdependencies are realized
Day-to-day oversight of production coordinators including tasking, training and mentoring.
Interface with studio operations, communicating information as it pertains to managed projects.
Oversight of crew hours, overtime, and vacation
Be looking for ways to streamline and improve communication and information flow as it pertains to the projects and teams.
Requirements:
Proven production management experience in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of a variety of production scheduling techniques (sprint scheduling, waterfall scheduling, notes-first and task-first workflows)
Thorough understanding of vfx workflows as pertains to production planning and management
Must be proficient in Shotgrid / Flow and other production tracking techniques
Experience in a primary role interfacing with clients
Strong knowledge of Google GSuite, Slack, Miro, Airtable and related apps
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to juggle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner
Experience motivating and leading teams with enthusiasm while remaining calm under pressure
Attention to detail, follow-through, and pro-activity
Good to have:
BA or BS degree in game development, VFX, film, art, communications, or related fields strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Unreal Engine and other real-time and graphics production workflows is a big plus.
Familiarity with the workflow/software/tools of working remotely (VPN, Remote Desktop, etc)
Knowledge of industry standard content creation software (Maya, Adobe, etc) is very helpful.
This is a full time position. This position is remote as we support a Virtual Studio.
The studio operates on west coast (PST) hours. This position requires flexibility switching between standard PST working hours and Mountain Standard time (MST) working hours to accommodate our clients.
