Evil Eye Pictures is looking for an accomplished Character TD for an innovative project featuring high fidelity humans in Unreal Engine 5. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years professional experience in film, television and/or games, and a thorough understanding of animation pipelines and content creation in Unreal. A high level of technical knowledge combined with strong creative and visual instincts is critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with digital scan data (reduction, retopo, etc)
Create stylized and realistic rigs with proper deformation and weighting
Create character assets including control rigs in Unreal Editor
Create character blend shape and character corrective shape assets
Author animation blueprints in Unreal Editor
Create range of motion assets for testing character rigs
Create bespoke character models
Collaborate closely with engineers, designing and implementing tools / workflows in Unreal Engine
What we’re looking for:
5+ years of working experience on a 5+ person team working with Unreal Engine in a professional environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience communicating with vendors and clients
Proven experience creating realistic and compelling characters for games / film
Experience with both forward and reverse kinematics rigging
Expertise using DCCs such as Maya or Blender for character creation
Experience creating custom tools for both Unreal Editor and DCC packages
Experience with rapid prototyping and iterative development
Flexibility to explore other tasks such as cloth simulation and physics, UI design and implementation, etc.
Good to have:
Experience with Marvelous Designer or some other form of clothing creation tool
Experience with Python, Mel, or C++ is a plus
Understanding of PBR rendering and texture creation
Knowledge of procedural modeling and rigging using Houdini, Blender, etc.
Experience with MetaHuman or other high fidelity CG humans

Evil Eye Pictures is looking for a full-time programmer to contribute to the crucial tooling and pipeline systems needed for a new innovative project in Unreal Engine 5. The ideal candidate has some experience with blueprinting in Unreal Engine, can create custom blueprint nodes in C++, and is proficient in writing python scripts to automate repetitive and error-prone tasks.
This position is an excellent opportunity to learn how a new innovative Unreal project is created from the ground up, with opportunities to collaborate with many talented senior artists, TDs, and programmers. With the candidate’s enthusiastic collaboration, we aim to provide an environment for creating a broad foundational understanding of the realtime pipeline and workflow in Unreal Engine.

Evil Eye Pictures is looking for an Associate Unreal TD. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting teams and delivering projects in games, film, TV, or virtual production. A thorough understanding of visual effects workflows is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist artists, leads, and supervisors with rendering linear content for game cinematics from Unreal Engine
Flag technical hurdles that prohibit the on-time delivery of work, suggesting creative and technical fixes including performance optimization or alternative work methodologies
Be an early adopter of new versions of Unreal Engine; testing features, vetting stability, and making recommendations for the wider team
Collaborate with tech art and pipeline in the creation of processes and tools related to the rendering of Unreal content
Oversight and monitoring of Deadline render queue and render farm machines; collaborating with pipeline and IT to troubleshoot and debug issues
Requirements:
Knowledge of Unreal Engine including an understanding of Sequencer, Blueprints, Movie Render Queue/Movie Render Graph, Lumen, and console variables
Thorough understanding of visual effects pipelines and techniques
Experience working with Deadline or similar render queue software
Detail-oriented both in work processes and ability to QC work
Understanding of optimization and performance profiling
Excellent ability to improvise and problem-solve
Ability to work independently, as well as take direction in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of procedural workflows for efficiencies in linear content creation
Good to Have:
Experience with Maya, Houdini, Blender or equivalent DCC is a plus
